For many years I have supplied music for and played in bands that provide music for corporate entertainment. Clients have included Audi, The Evening Standard, Sainsburys, P.C. World, Safeways, Large corporate clients at Henley and Ascot, I.T.V. and H.M. Treasury. Because of this experience I felt it would be relevant in putting down some pointers in helping clients choose the right kind of music for their particular corporate entertainment.

This article gives the essential basics for how to play the violin. Generally violins are quite commonly available instruments and it is reasonably easy to rent or buy a violin. Children may need smaller violins (from an eighth, quarter, half, three-quarters, seven-eighths up to full size) to accommodate smaller hands if they are going to be learning over an extended period.

The theater has had a great impact on our lives and the many things we do in our lives. Let’s face it, there is just nothing like seeing performers right up there on stage, live, right before your eyes. If you think that’s an overstatement then you’ve obviously never been to the theater.

Don’t let your beginning student get stuck trying to learn a piece of music that is really just too difficult for them. Don’t buy music for your beginner before allowing their piano teacher to focus your child’s attention on learning the basics. Of course your beginning student wants to play a really cool piece of music they can show off with, but don’t let them spend an entire year on one piece of music. While there is nothing wrong with this for an advanced student, beginners need to focus on the basics to achieve real piano progress that will transfer to other music. Here are two ways parents can do to support their young children in piano lessons or their older beginner to stick to a long-term plan that will result in an outstanding repertoire and a solid foundation of piano skills.

Many guitarists just starting out find the idea of music theory to be boring, and hence don’t invest much time in studying it. While words like “pentatonic scales” and “transposed keys” may not conjure up exciting imagery, the truth is undeniable: even the basics of music theory can prove to be endlessly useful, and can help guitarists improve their compositional and performance capabilities. In this article, we’ll take a look at how music theory can be used to transform any rap song into a country song. Now that, my friends, is pretty exciting stuff.

I can’t believe how much of the year has gone by, but all the same, it’s unbelievable how much I’ve grown through the year and most of it, from demolishing my need to perform.
