The new Avalon is the third generation of Toyota’s large sedan,
derived from the same the midsize Toyota Camry and the Lexus
ES330 entry-level luxury sedan. Toyota put considerable effort
into giving the new Avalon a more distinct identity. It’s now
larger and more luxurious than the Camry. It’s also more
powerful and roomier inside than the Lexus ES330. “The all-new
Avalon is distinctive, stylish and the most American vehicle of
any Toyota product to date,” said Don Esmond, senior vice
president and general manager of the Toyota Division in the
United States.

The Zaroot is Nissan’s way of showing how sporty SUV’s could
look in the future. Combining traditional SUV value, off-road
ability and futuristic sporty styling definitely makes an
aggressive visual statement.

a five-speed automatic transmission, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The goal of the Toyota FTSX concept is to have the space and
ride height of an SUV with the comfort, handling, and efficiency
of a sedan. “We began with a totally new silhouette and package,
lower and wider than an SUV, but taller, more comfortable, and
more versatile than a sedan. Add a powerful V6, all-wheel drive,
21-inch wheels, four doors, a large, multi-function glass roof
and an innovative rear hatch and you have a vehicle with
exceptional functionality,” remarked Kevin Hunter, vice
president, design and studio activities at Calty Design
Research, Inc. Powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine, the FT-SX is
187 inches long, 74.4 inches wide, and 61 inches tall. It uses
21-inch wheels (though a production model would probably not go
over 18 inches) with 255/45R21 tires, and has a 114-inch
wheelbase.

The new E55 AMG wagon packs power of 469 horsepower and 0-to-60
mph times of 4.6 seconds with its 5.5-liter supercharged AMG V8
engine. It has high-performance four-wheel disc brakes with
oversize perforated and ventilated rotors with multi-piston
calipers.

It happened back in the 70Â’s, but the evidence was still there. It was the case of the disappearing horsepower and this is what happened.

Since it was introduced back in 2002, Honda Insight’s 1.0-liter
three-cylinder gasoline engine and Integrated Motor Assist (IMA)
motor-generator have been modified, and the CVT model’s final
drive ratio is considerably lower, at 5.69:1 compared to 3.21
for the manual, to take advantage of the CVT’s wider-spread
“gear” ratios.
